Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Brooklyn. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in New York are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Brooklyn peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Kowloon Tong offers a good variety of Hong Kong desserts. They also have souffle pancakes which take at least 20 minutes to make and depending on how busy they are. Even though they have a good amount of options but there isn't anything I particularly like. This is mainly my go to when it's late and we need a dessert place to dine in as a group. I do look forward to seeing the owner's beautiful fluffy Samoyed, it's like the store mascot.

Was honestly a little disappointed. While I enjoyed how strong the grape tea was and how fresh it tasted, it was nothing like the photos on fantuan and hungry panda. They displayed a blended grape drink, not grape infused tea. It just felt a bit sad for nearly $7. Their desserts do look tempting though so I might be back :)

Such good sweet treats. Would highly recommend the Matcha Tiramisu! Very kind staff and quick service.

Had the hot Osmanthus Oolong tea with strawberry souffle pancake. Had no idea it was two layers of giant pancakes as the ones in Japan were much smaller. Definitely plan to visit again and try other items too.

I visited Kowloon Tong on a Friday at 8 PM and had a fantastic experience! They offer a great variety of desserts, including sago, soufflΓ©, toast, cakes, cold noodles, and fresh drinks. I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago and CrΓ¨me BrΓ»lΓ©e SoufflΓ©, both of which were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The soufflΓ© was light and airy, with a perfectly caramelized top, while the sago had a refreshing balance of sweetness and citrusy notes. The ambiance was just as impressiveβ€”the shop was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated in soft pink with hints of grey, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat or a nice spot to unwind, I highly recommend Kowloon Tong! *edited 12/19/2025 with more photos and captions
